The challenge
Arca Tierra sells agroecological food grown in Mexico City’s chinampas and runs farm experiences. That means a store, an experiences calendar, delivery routes, inventory and catering at the same time, and everything has to add up: every order, delivery and booking, without the team chasing data across tools.
What we built
- Online store with produce boxes, single products, subscriptions and online payments.
- Experience bookings with dates, capacity and a portal where customers check their booking status.
- Daily operations: orders, route deliveries, inventory, catering and the end-of-day cash-up on one screen.
- Reports to decide with numbers, not hunches.
- Roles and permissions: each team member sees and touches only what they should; no role, no access.
- Assistant that searches the catalog (RAG): it answers product questions with embeddings running on the client’s own server, without sending the catalog to third parties.
How we worked
In short deliveries, each with its own test list before touching production. Every new feature ships with API and browser tests, and the full suite runs against production before anything is called done. That’s how you move fast without breaking what already works.
What they got
Their own platform on their own server, with the code, the data and the documentation in their name, and a test suite that lets them keep adding features without fear of breaking what already works.
